2016, HAPPY NEW YEAR

When in was younger they told me life is like drawing without an eraser, which is not too bad an analogy. But today I wondered, what if life is actually like a computer's hard disk?

You see, in IT it is known that nothing is ever really deleted. Ever. The information you think you've deleted just sits there waiting to be overwritten. Anyone with enough expertise can retrieve it.

So you gave your life to Christ, you reformatted the disk, but the devil keeps digging old stuff up, and you remain in a world of guilt. Guilt over deleted stuff from where God sits.

Here's my message:
It's a new year, new opportunities, new beginnings. Reformat your disk. Remain in Christ. If it's deleted, fogerrit. ��

I'll borrow D. L. Moody's words:
Give your life to Christ, He can do more with it than you can.

Drink Ups, Snares and Fiery Storms...

WHEN JESUS DRANK OUR CUP

Psalm 11: 6   Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their CUP.

Ever hear of the time Jesus went for the drink up? Yeah, I said it... and no I'm not talking about the wedding with the water-wine or the last supper: I'm talking about the garden of Gethsemane. If you'd scroll up and read Psalm 11:6 again, I'd like to show you something.

Any cup that can contain a single snare is huge! Fire and brimstone, that's another level. But a whole tempest? Man, that's just badness. My point, that's a scarily huge cup.

Of course it shows us how scarily huge God is, but eyes on the cup for a while. You see, this cup was meant for us: the wicked.

It did not contain sobolo or soakings, it had snares and storms - hard on the throat. Yet Jesus said, "O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done." He took the huge cup, tipped His head back and gulped it down, brimstone and all. Then He wiped His mouth with His sleeve, sweated out the agony in blood and went out to die for us.

The long point is: He drank fire and brimstone for us so we wouldn't have to. Not even a little. We don't get what we deserve. ☺

STORY TIME

It's story time ☺
*clears throat*

One day Jesus went to a Pharisee's house. He went to eat... gɔbɛ ��...

Somehow she knew He'd be there. She'd stalked Him pretty well, quite well an ashawo... Anas would be proud ��.

She rushed in before she had time to change her mind, and poured it on His feet: one year's salary worth of perfume (no man's feet ever smelt better) and then the kissing started. Oh how she kissed those feet. Those unwashed feet, which had been through Jerusalem's dusty cattle-dropping-riddled roads.

She cried and cried on those feet and wiped them with her Brazilian hair (if she had money for that kind of perfume, she had money for Brazillian hair ��) The same hair she'd used to attract all those horny men for a fee.

The pharisee was disgusted, but Jesus, He smiled and, well, lemme quote:
Luke 7: 47  Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. 48  And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

Here's an interesting thought I got from Pastor Rod:
If the perfume cost a year's wages and she got paid for sex, then she poured one year of prostitution at His feet. Dirty money if you ask me, but the posture of her heart was Jesus' interest.

Where have you been, what have you done? He's willing to forgive much. Are you willing to love much?

SENSITIVITY

SENSITIVITY

I always wondered what exactly it meant to be "sensitive" to the Holy Spirit.
What if those familiar 'goosebumps of His presence' didn't show up? What if when I close my eyes I don't see anything?

I used to think: maybe He's not here after all. Then I met Jacob in the Bible at Bethel, and he said this:
Gen 28:
 16  And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; AND I KNEW IT NOT. 17  And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

A troubled Jacob on the run from his angry, murderous brother did not know when he had arrived in God's presence... Not until he rested and allowed God to show him a vision higher than himself and his problems. (Mind you, to be hunted by a hunter is a pretty big deal... Just not to God)

Now this is not an invitation to sleep in His presence ��, it's a Word of encouragement. When you come before Him, do not magnify your troubles: He's solved worse.
Rest in Him.
Let Him show you the higher vision.
That is how to BE SENSITIVE... Then get up, and set up a pillar (Gen 28:18), do whatever it takes so you do not forget your encounter.

Jacob walked over 14 years on the strength of that vision. Don't give up now.

REPELLANTS

REPELLANTS...
They wouldn't exist without bugs, mosquitoes to be precise, in Ghana. But fortunately, we can relate. Whether u burn a coil, or plug them fancy ones into a socket or you just smear the Odomos all over, the hope is to wake up with no bites.

Here's a news flash: The Bible is NOT a coil!! Putting it under your pillow does not sack demons. Please pick it and... oh, here's a crazy idea, would you try reading it for a change?

Lemme prove it to you.
Psalm 119:130
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

'it' couldn't be referring to the 'words' because it's a singular pronoun and 'words' is plural (subject-verb agreement). So 'it' refers to the 'entrance': the verb, the doing word, the action word. Getting the Word to enter you is the key to getting the light, and this light shines in the darkness and the darkness (devils and all) no dey barb [John 1:5]

So read your Bible. You've heard this before. About time you started listening.

Glory to God I'm back ��. Been a while.
I'd like to share something I learnt while I was away. It's Bible physics and biology, I hope you don't mind.

A dog gives birth to a dog and a fish to a fish. By simple logic, a spirit to a spirit �� and light to light. You're still with me right? Good.

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, NEITHER SHADOW OF TURNING.

God is Light (1 John 1:5) so being Light, He birthed light which plants use to produce food which we all eat.
No light, no life (John 1:4). This is integrated science.

Now my physics lecture and I'm done:
Wave particle duality is a theory which in a nutshell says that at certain extremely high speeds, relative to normal speeds, any particle (yourself inclusive) is a wave. So here's proof. Light moves so fast (300 million meters per second) it passes through glass as a wave, but it actually contains particles called photons.
Now I said light births light... And it is God who said, "let there be light".
It means 2 immediate things: 1.Godspeed is faster than light's speed, so only He could be fast enough to reproduce light, at speeds where we'd consider Him to be a wave. If you are confused, sorry ��
2. Properties of God determine properties of light. I'll show you one: Rectilinear Propagation of light says light moves in a STRAIGHT LINE. Now scroll up to James 1:17 and look at the part I've quoted in capital letters.

WHO DO YOU SAY HE IS? 4

I STILL BELIEVE

1 John 1:
 1  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
 2  (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
 3  That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

How many people can say this? That they walked and talked and ate with and followed and listened to Jesus... Why shouldn't I believe a man who lived 3 years with Jesus concerning the things Jesus said? Why should I believe a man born 500 years later to tell me truer things about the single most important Person ever born of a woman than this Man's own friend?

So I believe in the Jesus of the Bible over anything anyone else has to say about Him. Just as if I die today, I'd expect you to believe what Fritz Quaye, Edwin Kpodzro, Abigail Aryee-Atta and my other close friends will have to say about me. Sometimes logic cuts it...

I'm still not done.

WHO DO YOU SAY HE IS? 3

WHY I BELIEVE IN JESUS

I'm not done with why I believe the Bible, but let me tell you first why I believe in Jesus... This Man who so loves you that He died for you.

First, you celebrate Christmas. The whole world does. Just to say we can't deny that He lived... Oops, I meant He lives.

Now, I'm yet to meet a human being who can convincingly show me Jesus' sins. Just try if you think you want to make history. The only man to be born of a virgin. Over 120 people confess to seeing him rise from the earth right up into heaven. As usual, they were all very very convinced or very very stupid.

But they raised the dead in this Man's name. They healed the sick and then died for Him one by one.

Get this, Jesus predicted His own death. That one is not too hard if you plan your own death. But He predicted His own resurrection too. Beat that! I'm far from done koraa, but time. I'll be back.

WHO DO YOU SAY HE IS? 2

WHY I BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE

So I thought about this one paa. Why should I believe everything I see in a compilation of 66 books?
Should I really accept that 66 books contain the answer to virtually any relevant question I have in this life?

First of all, that's absurd. We all know it is. But guess what's even more absurd, yet true, this Book has never been wrong.

This book said give and you'll receive. For some strange reason it works. This book predicted the futures of many kingdoms which happened just like it said. This book predicted wars and hunger we see today. It predicted immorality and homosexuality which is not news anymore in 2015.

Yet this is what my intellectual mind refuses to ignore: It was not written by one person. Different people over a span of more than 2 millenia brought this together... telling one story about one Man whom we all have to make a decision about. But I'll get to Him later. They tried the same thing with Ananse stories, but they just don't sync.

Many people have tried to destroy this book, many people have been burnt because of it, others hanged and others shot. Yet some of us would do it all over again. We must be very stupid or very convinced.

But if there's enough wrong to believe in a devil, then anything he takes time to attempt destroying must be something he's afraid of. And seeing as he hasn't succeeded, it would be most absurd on my part not to believe it's words.

If I'm wrong, oh well, but if I'm right, I've believed in God's Word, and the rest is up to you.

I leave you with 2 things:
1. A quote by Sherlock Holmes - When the impossible is eliminated, whatever remains no matter how improbable must be the truth.
And 2. The words of Jesus Himself.
Matthew 24: 35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

WHY I BELIEVE IN GOD

In the paraphrased words of Max Lucado: Better minds have thought about this, and better hands have written on this subject.
But if my opinion really matters then here goes.

Why do I believe in a God I've never seen?

Have you ever seen a corpse? The difference between you and it is this: YOU BREATHE.

So cast your mind and imagination as far back as you dare to whatever you think was the first life-form ever.
I have a question. Who induced their first breath? No dead thing produces life.

The reason people doubt God is because we proudly think we have the right to understand everything. But no!! We don't!

We want to be in charge. We are not. I've seen people predict the future. I've seen visions for myself twice, and both times what I saw happened. There's no mathematics that can explain that.
There's no chemical equation to explain why men can fall in love and can feel hatred enough to murder.

The day you show me a picture of... Or better still draw a thought, is the day I'll show you God.
But if you believe you think, when you haven't seen a thought before, then you can believe in the God whose air you are breathing. Selah.

So I've kept longer than a few hours. Got busy and my data got finished.

Obviously, I can't tell you why you believe what you believe. I can only speak for myself. And it will take more than one post for me to 'say all'.

When I came to Christ, I was cowardly and pyrophobic (afraid to burn). He was the only solution the Bible prescribed. But somewhere along the line I fell in love with Him. But I'm getting ahead of myself and this is still not my answer, lol.
(Those who were threatening me because of small suspense, relax wai, you have patience for the next episode of Arrow, allow me to flow)

I'll keep them coming as quickly as I organize my thoughts. But for now, I've got to sleep. It was a long day.

In fact, read it like this: WHY HAVE I DECIDED TO BELIEVE ALL THAT I BELIEVE? WHAT IF I'M WRONG? WHAT HAPPENS IF I DIE AND REALISE I MADE A MISTAKE?

Revelation 3:20
Behold I stand at the door and knock. If any man heads my voice and opens the door I will come in and dine with him and he with Me.

We have all believed at some point that this is Christ reaching out to the lost, I mean unbelievers, but 6 verses up Jesus said: And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write...

I heard a story of a man who was sacked from church because he came straight from the farm and so his appearance was not exactly too good. As he stood outside someone came to stand beside him and asked, "So they've sacked you too?" He turned to answer and realised, this was our Lord before him.

In many churches we are worshipping seriously, but the one we claim to worship is still outside knocking on the door. He's not been invited to His own worship. We were worshipping chords, lights and feelings all along. The message is simple today: LET JESUS BACK INTO HIS CHURCH!

A few days ago 'We Have A HULK' got a lot of people excited, (If you are lost, follow the link at the bottom) but the truth is not everyone had the right to be.

Since I begun blogging I've tried to hype Jesus, I've told stories, exposed some hidden revelations I didn't know I knew myself and from feedback I believe people are blessed. But this Jesus I've been talking about, does He know you? Don't rush to give me the verse, 'Before I formed you in your mother's womb I knew you and called you...', nah, relax koraa.

Read this one:
Matt 7:21-23
  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Read the rest of the story if you care to, then ask again, does Jesus really know me? Your going to Heaven depends on this. Tomorrow might be too late. Call on Jesus now... No crowds, no big preachers, just you and this message... Allow Christ to be real to you. I

If you don't have Christ in your life, you have a Jesus-sized hole-in-heart condition. I'll say it again, there's a void only Jesus can fill in your life. Let Him in, there are people around to help you meet Him.

We Have A HULK

We Have A HULK!

Of all the Avengers (yes, Thor and friends), the biggest, meanest and greenest is the Incredible Hulk, but you already knew that... if you were born around the time I was.

He's so strong he once stopped a fire by clapping! He literally jumped from the USA to Africa once. (They've been lying to us oo, lol).

So if you've seen The Avengers movie you might remember their problem. Loki, the 'god' of mischief wanted to invade earth with an army of frost giants (oh chale... Like seriously?). Ironman was like we'll stop you, blah blah blah, and Loki responded, "I have an army", to which Ironman replied, "We have a hulk". Now that's just classic if you ask me... We have a hulk... Punchline, drops mic and walks away.

But I'd like you to know too: We have a GOD! No, He's not green and mean, but (oh I feel like shouting!) He's God for crying out loud! Creator of the universe. He made Jupiter and Mars! Some of you can't even make breakfast la.

So chill. Base koraa, God's got this. Just make sure you are on the right side. Jesus said: He that is not with us is against us (paraphrased). Join the winning team: #TeamJesus

But what really struck me was that if you click on an icon the program immediately opens"

If that didn't hit you like it hit me it's either you've already thought about this, or... well I don't know.

What happens when people around you 'click' on you? When people meet you, the icon, do you open up Christ to them? If FIFA 15 was just an icon and there was no actual game behind it, who'd play?

If you claim to be of God and don't actually represent him in your life, you're wasting space on life's desktop.

DRAWING THE LINES 6

I don't know your reaction to the lines I've been taking about, and maybe it wasn't such a befitting title. In fact, maybe my lines were a little crooked, but I hope I can end well.

A few weeks ago, we woke up at home to find that every towel we'd left on the line in the porch throughout the night had been stolen. What a shock. I left mine in my room so it's still there.

Now Jesus said He'll come like a thief in the night... Unexpectedly.

When a thief comes he steals. He steals anything not secured in the house. He'd take everything if he could but he can't really carry anything heavy... So on that deadline, assuming the rapture is tomorrow, can Jesus 'steal' you from this earth? Are you rapturable?

The lines have been drawn... I mean gay people have the right to marry in America! There's a gay club at Osu, in case you didn't know. How do I know? A friend has gone there before to see with his own eyes! 13 year olds know porn sites off-head! ISIS beheads Christians! Corruption is everywhere!

The Thief is coming! But NO, don't secure yourself to this earth, what happens after is not pretty. Let Him take you. In the words of my senior brother Elton, some of us are too heavy to be taken. We're hanging on to cars, money, houses, phones and (for some guys) certain parts of the ladies I feel uncomfortable mentioning.

The lines have been drawn. Maranatha, He comes. Are we ready to meet Him? I'll leave you with the words of Andy Mineo: how would your face look if Jesus were to scroll through your Facebook? (Let's add whatsapp, twitter and Viber). Let's realign.

DRAWING THE LINES 5 - The Outline

The outline of a field is it's perimeter, it's boundaries. The outline of a course in school is the subject areas and topics to be treated over a period. You should have guessed our outline by now if you didn't know it already: The Bible.

Many people have tried to burn it, to blot out its existence. People have been killed for possessing it. Yet, it refuses to go away. It's that truth all up in your face, and that's why people don't like it, because it gives you boundaries, at least that's what it looks like. It walls us in. It dictates what we're allowed to do and what not to do... And we just hate it. Our flesh hates rules.

But look at David. This weird young man said in Psalm 119: 103  How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Because he realized, God is not walling me in. He's walling Satan out. This is not a hedge of seclusion, it's a hedge of protection, like my friend Stacy once said.

This outline leads us to the Lifeline, so we're ready for the deadline. My chaw lines now intersect. So you want to know how far God will bless you, enter the Book. How much He loves you, enter the Book. What has He promised you? Enter the Book. Cover to cover just sounded good eh? Enter the Book. In God's kingdom there is no democracy. This is our constitution.

DRAWING THE LINES 4 - the deadline.

Most of us, we say we love Jesus. When a guy loves a girl and she loves him back they always can't wait to see each other (forget gay people, God didn't make Adam and Steve).
So here's a question: why aren't we excited that Jesus is coming soon. For most of us we'll be happy if He waits a few more years... But you can't wait for that sister to say yes.

Look here, nevertheless, He comes. Ready or not, He'll crack the sky open one of these days and descend. Or maybe you'll die and meet Him. That's our deadline. The Master checks our work then, and then we either hear "Well done" or "You wicked servant". It's heaven, or hell. Forever. No one knows when this deadline is, but the signs show we are close.

Are you getting into heaven? If you are, who's getting in because of you?

Jesus still saves. The apostles did not finish all the power in His blood, an there are still ✌ things involved. Selah.

1 John 5: 12  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Get Jesus, get life.

DRAWING THE LINES 3

DRAWING THE LINES 3 - The Lifeline

Who wants to be a millionaire? Rhetorical. It's the name of a British game show where you could win a million pounds. That's like 6.5 million cedis. Maybe you've seen our local equivalent, Who wants to be rich? The money does not compare though.

Lemme introduce you to a new one: Who wants eternal life? Once again the prize does not compare to the other two. This one promises mansions, crowns, and God, the giver of everything good. 'Cos when you have God you have everything. Imagine the owner of Shoprite worked in your chopbox. Would you have ever called home for provisions? When you have God in this world... well you get the picture. Weird analogy, I know.

Back to our game show though. Kafui Dey would give you 3 life lines when you got stuck: an audience vote, call a friend or cut down your options to 50:50. But you see, the question of who wants eternal life is neither a game nor a show, and there's no vote or 50:50. You get one life line. One call.
Romans 10: 13  For whosoever shall CALL upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

We were born stuck. Whether you believe it or not is immaterial. It's the truth. Jesus is our only life line.

DRAWING THE LINES 2

Remember the last time I spoke about marking out lines before drawing them visibly? Good. So now we'll move on.

I've found myself mentioning these verses very often these days:
Rev 22: 11  He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
 12  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Did you see verse 11? He's saying there's no fence. Only a line. You can sit on a fence, but try sitting on a drying line and see... I'd have to write the Humpty Dumpty story again, and even he sat on a wall. Mind you, those verses are on the last page in the Bible. You can check.

He's saying, "I'm drawing the line here, pick a side." Don't ever dream that the Kingdom of God is helpless without you. Pick a side and stay with it. You are not doing God a favour.

So when a nation says men can marry men and women, women, it's not so strange. They're picking a side, what about you. Remember, battle lines are drawn before the battle, the field is marked out before the game. Pick a side, while it's still your choice to make.

DRAWING THE LINES 1

Back in Motown we had this big athletics oval. And every year before athletics it had to be marked out. So the juniors would come in houses and scratch away at the dirt with sticks and cutlasses till the markings of the track lanes were quite obvious. That's a loooooot of scratching. Then they'd pour lime into the lines to make them more obvious. No, not the fruit , the white powder... Calcium Hydroxide (to the chemistry students).

Again that's a looooot of lime, but pouring the lime is faster than scratching the lines. Trust me, I've done both.

Now let's shift our attention to battle lines. Before a battle commanders arrange their soldiers in certain formations... Battle lines are drawn. Now I don't know how that's done, all I know is it's done, and if my experience with lines in high school taught me anything, it's that marking out is the hard part, and drawing the line visibly is quicker.

So what am I talking about?
Have patience ...

Purity

One day Ewurabena Bediako spoke about how a lot of us live in 'untested innocence'. Like you're still a virgin just because you haven't had the opportunity to lose it yet. Or you're not in jail because you've not seen an amount of money worth stealing yet.

In fact, etwii me paa. I really felt I was such a one. Not necessarily in those areas, but I know my struggles.

You see we're not allowed to play around sin like the world does. It's like when we were kids, and if you had parents like mine, we were not allowed to play barefoot in the streets anyhow like the other area-kids. Of course we did manage to play kpetengɛ, sulia for beatings, alikoto and all that... somehow, but my point is the parents who knew better gave their kids restrictions to show them that they were different. That's the same thing God does.

We have to stay away from sin, and true we seem outnumbered, because everyone is doing drugs but us; everyone is fornicating but us; everyone is corrupt but us, right? Wrong! In the words of Elisha:
They that be with us are more than they that be with them. (2 Kings 6:16)
Where's our team?
Hebrews 12: 1  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us...
There are apostles, prophets, angels, the Father, Son and Spirit cheering you on.

We can't fail Heaven. We'll be pure even when no one's looking. We can make it.

Fairytale.

T-Cross has a song titled Fairytale. I know because I'm their drummer. It's wonderful. But Bebe Winans also sang a song titled Humpty Dumpty , I'm listening to it as I write, it's beautiful I promise you. He was singing about the One who could put Humpty together again. If turns out that if the results are anything to go by, then this country (mind you we were last), is the worst place to be educated on earth. We have the worst educational system known to man as at now. And since earth is the only inhabited planet we know, this is the worst place to be educated in our solar system.

Now that's serious. We should all fly to Singapore and learn sense.

But wait, aren't we the ones with a 70% Christian population? We could blame our leaders, but no, please, spare us: Mahama never taught you core math. Let's find the culprit right now. Walk to the nearest mirror and look at the person looking back at you.

If we've failed in common sense application, like dropping a sachet in a bin, how can we calculate double integrals? If can't keep from copying in exams do we dare hope to eve have totally free and fair elections? And oh yeah, do you think we'll be allowed to pee by the streets if gold in Heaven?

We need the Jesus we profess to know. If He really ran our lives things would be different. Let's stop disgracing Him.

A man who was in love with his half-sister raped her upon advise from his friend. Then he hated her more than he ever loved her and kicked her out after defiling her. Her brother killed him 2 years later.

Please... Don't play with sex. I beg you. God is watching. This is possibly my least eloquent post ever. But I beg you. I bet the young man didn't even enjoy his selfish act. You are not alone in staying pure. At least know that I'm with you.

THERE ARE 2 THINGS INVOLVED

There Are ✌ Things Involved.

There are times when we havtheo face hard facts and say it as it is. Today seems to be one of those days.

3rd June, 2015. Ghanaians learnt that fire can burn on water... the hard way. It was all about relative density and combustion, but this is not a science lesson. My concern is those who witnessed it first hand.

2 things happened that night:
*For some, there was excruciating heat and pain, then angels reached down and snatched them up out of their bodies into relief that lasts for eternity.
*For the others, there was excruciating heat and pain, and then demons dragged them out of their bodies into even hotter flames and torment that never ends.

The survivors live only to die another day.

You see, Basketmouth was right when he said this: There are 2 things involved. The late Rev. Blessing Tsukudo made those 2 things clear to me: Heaven or Hell. You get to choose one.

The Bible says:
1 John 5:12  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

If John was wrong... Well, then my life is being wasted... But if he's right and you're not with me, then your eternity will be a waste in a place where a drop of water is a luxury.

But before you make your decision about whether or not to believe John, and how dare he make such audacious statements, this is something else he said (how many people can say this?):
1 John 1: 1  What existed from the beginning, what WE HAVE HEARD, what we have seen WITH OUR EYES, what we observed and touched WITH OUR OWN HANDS—this is the Word of life!

This man ate and walked with Jesus. He was even there at the transfiguration!!

I think I'll believe him. 

Pick your side fast. He comes.

If we don't tell our story, who will?

I watched a movie: Exodus, gods and kings.
Worst version of Moses' story I've ever seen! God was this little boy always making what I'm assuming was tea, and Moses never carried a staff, just swords, knives and daggers. The red sea never split, they waded through. And Pharoah survived the sea closing in on him.

But this is not the first time somebody has taken the truth from the Bible and decided how he thinks the story should go. If you've seen the Noah movie released recently you'd understand me.

The point is, when we need doctors, the world can provide, lawyers, politicians, armed robber, brah brah brah. The world always has someone to do any work as necessary, but NO ONE will preach our gospel for us like it should be preached... because NO ONE has experienced our Jesus like we have.

Romans 10: 13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
 14  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
 15  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

What is Grace to me? Normally I'd like to change the question to 'Who is Grace to me?', but not today.

To me, Grace is when the Mate says to one stuck-up passenger, "Bɔ so. Ma no nhyɛ  ha wai", because we all want to make it to Heaven.

Grace is when a girl goes to a 5-star restaurant for the first time on a date and wants to chew the bones of her chicken, and she's allowed because the Guy paid it all.

Grace is when a bowl-legged girl's beauty is appreciated because she accepted the gift of a long dress.

But even more, Grace is God telling me, "You are not good enough, but I am so trust Me".

It's when I take in without payment breath after undeserved breath just because He loves me.

Grace is the death that gives us life, the sorrow that gives us joy, the wounds that give us healing... His life for mine... Grace is Jesus Christ.

Yesterday was interesting. Windy, wet and cold. Malam junction got flooded by the rains and I was stuck in traffic from Lapaz. Eventually I got down at Barnyard and walked to Dansoman (for those who don't know, that's faaaaar). This was around 11:30pm, I'd been in traffic for possibly over 3 hours.

So when I say I walked... well, like 40% of that journey involved me wading through knee-deep water which was carrying anything and everything away. That's where Philip came in. A young man who was just as stranded as I was. We supported each other and made it through.

Let's juxtapose that against our spiritual lives: Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.

A little physics: when you lower yourself, you lower your center of gravity. You make yourself more stable, harder to push down.
And then Paul says we should forbear (hold up) one another.
Long story short, you need your fellow believer, not just for the fun stuff,but especially for the storms.

'Sorry' is pretty hard for anyone to say. It's a general problem: PRIDE, the stuff Satan's made of. Because it took pride to make Lucifer Satan, if you get my meaning.

But these days, it's almost like we don't care when we hurt God. Sure, we'll say Grace did this, Grace did that (which she, or better still He did) but no one hurts a person they love and doesn't apologize - already forgiven or not.

So heads up to the girls who like me small small (please don't hate ✋), I don't like proud girls... But God actually goes so far as to resist the proud (know your Bible).

Solomon was one serious guy.
Money? He was loaded.
Wisdom? Too much.
He built the most glorious temple of his day.
1 Kings 3:12-13 let's us know that in wisdom and riches there was never anyone like Solomon, neither will there ever be anyone like him... So we thank God that our Jesus was not like Solomon, after all he messed up later... As a matter of fact Jesus said of Himself:
A greater than Solomon is here. Matt 12:42
So He was nothing like Solomon... Just greater  (Rosh paa nie)

So here's today's hype shortly:
Solomon built a glorious temple (good job Solo), but aside from the fact that Solomon himself was made by this our Jesus (Jn 1:3), for every believer you can count who has ever lived, and will ever live, that is one more glorious temple of the Holy Ghost that Christ has built over Solomon's. And the cost of this architecture... The blood of God's own Son. My friend in the Lord, you are expensive!!! Only a Greater than Solomon could pay for you.

I'm still on Solomon's case though. We all know Solomon was a serious guy. Akɛɛ onalɛ player ( forgive the Ga). 300 concubines and 700 wives... 1,000 women. Whaaaaat?!  As a single brother, this beats my mind, lol. But then God designed marriage and relationships right, and He can't be beaten at His own 'game' (mind you relationship is no game). So what did Jesus do? He took every believer, joined us into one body, His church, His bride, and He marries us. And the two become one! He unites us with Himself on the ultimate spiritual level. So Solo had thousand women? Jesus has every believer... Ever!

They say the third time's the charm... Charm or no charm, I'm trying again. 

The sun. The scientists say it's a huge ball of burning gases... Like a million times the size of our earth. A long time ago, people thought it moved across our sky, now we realize we're the ones moving, while it stays put. All it does is to shine.
Throughout time, one man made the sun 'stop' by a prayer, we actually now know he made the earth stop rotating, which is pretty cool anyway. Joshua in...
Another made the sun 'move backwards' King Hezekiah, so now we know that he reversed the earth's rotation... Awesome!
But there was one Man. When He died, the sun refused to shine for 3 hours... Mourning her Boss. I bet an angel had to be sent to alert her that He would rise again, or else, anka forget... Universal dumsor koraa. So yeah, today's early morning hype... Jesus proved He was the light of the world when His absence put out the sun. If you can top that, I'll worship you. Today's gonna be a good day .

Have you ever thought about the concept of an eternal punchline? I mean something that can astound anyone anywhere because it never gets old?
Jesus did THAT!
For now, let's forget the sad fact that yesterday I neglected to mention the way the earth quaked when He died, and how the curtain in the temple divided when He gave up the ghost to allow us access to the Father. Let's even forget that He touched lepers and 'infected' them with healing...
He had the audacity to make this statement (the crazy part is, IT'S TRUE!!!):

He said, "Before Abraham was I AM" (John 8:58)
No I did not type wrong... Before Abraham was, HE STILL IS!!!
This punchline was delivered in the 'I AM continuous tense' ... Read that again.
He's not bounded by time, eternity lives in Him. He doesn't obey deadlines, He is the deadline. Alpha and Omega just made more sense, didn't it, #Throwback has nothing on Jesus.  God bless you.

I don't need to prove to you that you are weak... Really, you are not worth the attempt. Don't take offense -- neither am I. You sinned yesterday, the day before that, and before that, and before that... (You get the picture)
Only one Man ever crushed Sin entirely, and on our behalf.
C.S. Lewis said it this way (paraphrasing), we do not know how bad temptation can get because we give in too early.
I mean, once you have fallen and fornicated, the deed is done, the temptation ends (mind you, Jesus died for that). But for as long as you resist the sin, the temptations get worse (ask Joseph), so by simple logic, He who stood through all temptations has seen the worst!! But the Word says: ...Yet without sin!! (Heb 4:15, 1 Pet 2:21,22)
So here's the hype: He walked 33 years, never lied, never dabbed, never watched porn, never succumbed like you and I have. I would have said He's better than us, but we'll call that an understatement. He's the best!!!
Humbling huh?

1 Cor 10: 12  Wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

Once upon a cross, one Man carried the full weight of the sin of everyone who's ever lived and ever will live. No, He wasn't a body builder, just a carpenter.

And then suspended between Heaven and earth on that same cross He bridged the gap between them. No lie, no exaggeration. He closed the gap. We couldn't see it, but it was there. Some people never found out what He did for them, but He did it all the same.

So how can I let this sacrifice go waste? Life carried the mother of death, sin, and died to kill death in sin in Him.
Please don't get confused, it all makes sense. For every wrong we've done Someone died for that. So live like Someone died for you.

I have to get this one right. I really do. The only issue is I don't trust myself to do justice to it. So I'll let God speak for Himself, about how He made His Son the epitome of awesomeness:

START AGAIN
Jude 1: 20  But ye, beloved, BUILDING UP YOURSELVES on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost

Act 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace, WHICH IS ABLE TO BUILD YOU UP, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

I've started to hit the gym again. It's been months, and my body is reminding me... painfully.

Today I couldn't even push weights that back then I could push in my sleep.
But I can't pick up where I stopped in October, nah, that was a totally different body, a stronger one. What can I do but start again?

But there's something worse than to 'fɔn' physically, which is to 'fɔn' spiritually. You don't pick up your spiritual stature next semester where you left it last semester if you don't workout your Spirit during the vac.

So keep visiting the gym of the Word and prayer, else pretty soon you'll have to start again and trust me, you don't want those body pains.

Forget about the old English. Forget about the length of the verse. There's just one word I want you to see: F-E-W, few.

Ain't that amazing? OK, sorry, maybe you don't get it: David used to play his harp in the bush to God - before his FEW sheep. He wrestled with a lion - for his FEW sheep. He fought a bear - for his FEW sheep.

Then what did God do? He picked him from playing before sheep to playing before kings... From bear-brawler to giant-slayer... From shepherd to King!

After David killed Goliath he went from leading sheep, to leading armies to leading Israel.

So few sheep huh? Isn't it amazing what God does for this who are faithful with 'few'?

41  And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.
 42  And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

   From one Max Lucado book I learnt this. The touch never healed the leprosy, and it's true. Verse 42 makes that clear. But Jesus was not one to waste gestures.
   Here was a man whom no one had touched in years on account of leprosy. Although Jesus' words healed him, he took the time to touch him first. Do you see it yet? The touch healed the hurt inside. The hurt of rejection, of being unwanted and unloved.
   We all knew Jesus would clear the leprosy... sharp. But He wants us to know, He'll take time to go deeper. To heal us from the inside out.
   Touch me with Your hands... Maybe now you realize that song is deeper than we thought.

DIVISION

DIVISION
This is a little longer than usual, but it's probably the most important thing I've written yet. It might not sound so deep, but please read on.

Jentezen Franklin preached a message titled Dream. You should hear it:

Nebuchadnezzar had a dream and forgot, but he knew it was no ordinary dream, so he called his wise men and magicians and said, "The thing is gone from me (I've forgotten my dream): if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill." (Dan 2:5)

So in Nebuchadnezzar-land, if you didn't get the dream you'd get chopped up and your home would become the home of 'crap', literally. Forgive my vocabulary.

But this happens around us all the time? Divisions in the church, in marriages and families. The man and wife are one flesh so how do you divorce half of yourself? The church is Christ's body, so where's our unity?

If we don't get the dream, the vision of the head (Jesus), we can't fully join ourselves.

One Michael Essel said anything with 2 heads is a monster, so it has 'di-vision' and there will be division.

Everyone is 'relationshiping' so you go with the flow. No vision. Please don't worry someone's daughter. Churches with names that tell you 'God didn't inspire this', please don't attend such a dunghill.

What is our Lord's vision for His church?:
Matt 16:18b...upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Till we understand this, we are cracks in the cement of the church. More on the blog.

Jesus told us:
John 15: 5  I am the vine, you are the branches. The one who abides in me while I abide in him produces much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.

The day you find a lone branch lying on a veranda bearing fruit, it's either you've found Aaron's staff that budded (congratulations), or this verse has lost its relevance. But I promise you, you are more likely to find Aaron's staff, which has been missing for over 2,000 years.

So the verdict is: apart from Jesus... well, dry branches end up as firewood in this part of the world. Stay connected.

Death

This post is a few days old...

I want to talk about death today. Yes, I said death and no, I won't change the topic. For 2 reasons:
1. A scorpion was playing around my foot at a prayer meeting this evening.
2. I feel like it.

There's a movie about a sniper who died 2 years ago. Among the soldiers of the US army he was a legend: Chris Kyle. But eventually, there's just one question: Where is Chris now?

That all depends on one book. You see, after the gun salutes and the memorials and movies, is His name in the book of life?
I dunno, but you should probably make sure yours is.
As for me? Well, Luke 10:19, scorpions and snakes are our carpets, so I'm cool.

Rev 20: 15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

The escape is Jesus.

Crazy World

It's A Crazy World.
Recently I was talking to God, and telling Him how I love Him. Of course I quickly realized I don't love Him nearly enough, and no where close to how Hr loves me (I mean, think about the cross).

And I looked up and said, "You must be crazy", with a smile on my face. The reply came fast, not a voice, not a vision, just a realization: no, You're not crazy,I am, it's not Your world that's upside down, it's mine.

Because we were created to love like You. And if a man can fall in love and leave Kumasi to Accra just to see a lady, then surely God is allowed to leave Heaven to earth, not just to see us but to save us.

And these 3 remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Do the clothes fit?

STATURE
God so wants us to look like Jesus that He made sure to put this verse in the Bible:

Ephesians 4:
 13  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ

My friend Sylvia made me realize this on Monday; God gave Moses instructions for the making of the priests robe. No alterations. Aaron wore it as long as he was priest, then Aaron left the scene and Eleazar wore the robe... Still no alteration. You see, Christ is our High Priest and we his a royal priesthood. His clothes should fit us like Aaron's did Eleazar.

So filling Jesus' shoes, not enough, we need to fill His clothes, as long as we say we are reppin' Him. The trick is to let Him fill you, be the glove and let Him be the hand, be the sachet, let Him be the water. Be the clay, He'll be the potter. Then He'll shape you as He wills. Blessed day.

Story of Grace

STORIES

I have a story... It's not so long, I'm just 20 you see. You do too. Everyone who's part of humanity does.
For every body in a fridge at the morgue, they have a story too... which hasn't ended.
Because the story they had before death was just the foreword.

Eternity is the real story. So maybe their intro was awesome, and they had it all... Maybe it sucked and they were a thief on a cross. But that all doesn't matter, because it's just that: an intro - a book cover if you will.

Here's the secret, when you stop writing yourself and you hand over the pen to the One who says history is HIS story... It doesn't matter how bad you messed up the foreword. There's a whole eternity of the sweetness of God's presence waiting to be written out for you... Ask the thief on the cross. It's called GRACE.

I recently gave blood for the first time in my life. Out of my arm, through a tube, into the bag.

One attending nurse had a shirt on which read, "Blood donors are HEROES". Kai!! I felt good. My blood can save someone! And it makes sense considering I was made in God's image... Because His blood could save me!!
But whereas I had to endure just a needle, He just let it go!: thorns on His head, spear in His side, nails in His hands and feet, stripes from the whips, the bruises from the punches and slaps... Yeah, it wasn't easy saving you, so don't disregard His sacrifice, because I've only described the physical part of His pain. Love made God suffer that and die for you, and He didn't rise 3 days later for your actions to tell Him you don't care.

So accept the transfusion and love Him back. We've all been bleeding out through sin since birth, but there's a fountain of Grace flowing through Emmanuel's veins.

Samson went down to Timnah together with his father and mother. As they approached the vineyards of Timnah, suddenly a young lion came roaring toward him. The Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon him so that he tore
the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat. But he told neither his father nor his mother what he had done.

If I 'tore' a lion apart... There's no way I wouldn't tell the world! I mean, imaging the bragging rights. But it was just all in a day's work for Samson.
But there is this 'lion' who keeps asking for a beating... And oh, if only we would remember that the same Spirit who came upon Samson is in us, we'd tear him up. Because, get this, he's not even a real lion, he just roars LIKE one, you can check. (1 Pet 5:8)
He was created for the choir, not for war.
So next time he shows up with those fake roars, remember you have The Spirit which makes men tear apart lions. Good night. Happy lion hunting...

Joseph knew this, David didn't. How the mighty have fallen.

We need a solution! So we'll turn to the solution manual, our constitution, the Bible:
2 Timothy 2:22
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

The solution is singular, don't stand and fight this one, no binding and casting, no loosing and fasting. Run!
Cos when it comes to lust, real men run! Your future depends on it.

For as long as I could remember I was always just a stick. A boring dry piece of wood... And this Moses guy (some Egyptian refugee) found me and used me to direct sheep, smh.

Not too exciting an existence.

Till one day before a strange 'burning-yet-not-burnt-up' bush I heard God say "What is that in your hand? Cast it on the ground" (Exodus 4:2&3). Trust me, this ground was different: I lay on the ground before such Awesome Power and I was suddenly so alive! I could move! Even when I used to live as part of my old tree I couldn't move like this!! Back then before I was broken off and turned into a staff.

I hear I'd become a snake, but just for a while anyway. Yet still, as I was picked up and became a stick again I knew something was different and Moses knew it too, because that night I became 'the rod of God'. (Ex 4:20)

It wasn't so long after that I was used to part the red sea and draw water out of a rock! All because of a few moments spent before my Creator.

So what's in your hand? Lay it before God: ur talents, relationships, knowledge... In fact, you, lie down before Him as well! And when He raises you up from that position of submission, you'll know what it really means to be alive, to part a sea, to give thirsty people living water. Just fall at His feet first.

ALL power... He left none for anyone. Any power anybody exercises is borrowed.
But God's character has always been that way... Not just with power:
John 3:16 - God gave His ONLY Son for us
Rev 3:16 - He wants ALL of us, not some lukewarm hybrid of hot and cold.

So yes, our Lord has ALL POWER and we have no reason to fear that old choirmaster Lucifer once we are in Him... But before you get drunk on His power remember His character remains the same, and He wants ALL OF YOU. Forget John Legend.

In Motown, during the rainy season people go to prep with termites.
Yes they do...
And no, the termites aren't that interested in academics, they are interested in the light from the classroom blocks.

Many preps have been cancelled on account of termites. #HappyTimes, lol.
Anyway, so u could see them coming from everywhere, dropping their wings, falling, crawling... Desperate to get to that bright shiny thingy we call...a bulb.

But did you know you are also a light? Matt 5:16. Who have you attracted? The termites must know they'll lose wings on that journey! There's proof of crawling termites all over the floor, but no they still go! Jesus drew people by His light, there were always sinners coming around him, dropping their weak nuptial 'wings' of sin, for some reason they wanted to meet the Light. That light shines in us. Don't put it under a bowl (Matt 5:15).  Lift it high, let it shine.✨

The assumption that every person on this earth is a child of God, I mean a part of God's family... Where did we get that?

Many of us have thought it to be true, but Jesus spoke differently. He told some Pharisees in John 8:44 - Ye are of your father the devil...

I don't think God and Satan share custody of their kids. No, not possible with a jealous God. As a matter of fact, i once heard Bishop Dag explain that it is for this reason that you can't date, or worse marry someone outside God's family: the devil will be your father in law.

So how do we tell who is and who is not? Romans 8:14

How do you become a child of God? John 1:12

And the rest is homework.

The Fast & The Furious

The Fast & The Furious.

Fast & Furious 7... Crazy movie. But passco nevertheless, because when a hero drops out of the sky to rescue someone in bondage it only reminds me of my Saviour who came from Heaven to rescue me from sin's bondage.

Maybe He didn't do it with a car dropping out of a plane and parachutes, maybe His was less glamorous, with 3 nails, a cross, crown of thorns, some whips and a spear... But for Jesus, there was no director to say cut, there was no make-up to paint on fake scars, there were real nails and real blood which washed away my real sin.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. That whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life

I'm Shocked... But Not So Shocked

Exodus 16: 35  And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.

Before this word gets cold...
This is a shocker! For everyday the Israelites complained and grumbled and even wanted to stone Moses (Gen 17:4), they had tasted manna from Heaven that morning. But they NEVER ASKED! THEY JUST COMPLAINED!

Dumbfounding if you ask me.
As men, we just complain too much... I mean there was a pillar of fire to see in the night even if you didn't think a pillar of cloud was impressive enough. And yet, they still couldn't help but complain.
The message is simple. Count tour blessings, because someone in a worse state looks at you and knows you don't have the right to complain... Just enough reasons to hope. God bless you.

Remember... The human mind for some reason has the ability to forget. A gift from God because some memories just hurt.

But there are some things we should never forget, like why we came to Jesus, what He has done in our lives, where He picked us from... Abide at the foot of the cross, look at that naked Man bleeding and know that it should have been you up there.

We've been too busy for God!
Search your heart and you'll know it's true. Remember He makes your life worth living. Remember this all of today.

This is a fact in history, that no one has ever been able to prove that the man Jesus sinned, not even a white lie. Yet He spoke these words in John 14:6
" I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Words of the most truthful man to ever live.
And so I tell you whether you agree or not, u cannot know the way to God except you know Jesus, you cannot know the truth about life except you know Jesus, and you can never claim to be 'living the life' except you live like Jesus.

So tell the world, let everyone know!!

I'll try to be brief...
Jesus was extraordinary. He did mind boggling things... I mean He walked on water!!
Then He said we'd do greater things. (BTW, He wasn't joking)

So why haven't we been doing those 'greater works'? Many reasons, but here's one u might not have realized: a lot of us are incomplete, we're not full of that Godhead... Why? We're not very obedient because we don't really love Him enough.
Jesus said this:
John 14:23
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and MAKE OUR ABODE WITH HIM.

So Jesus and His Father abide with the loving obedient. We already have the Holy Spirit, but Jesus ran on the fuel of the full Godhead... Not just the Holy Spirit.
Oh, don't get me wrong, the Holy Spirit is a wonderful and powerful friend, but there are depths and realms reserved for those who will love our Lord unconditionally. Upgrade your love.

 17   The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.
18  But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD.

This verse is just something... Look at it this way, the dead don't praise God, neither do those who go down into silence (representing death).
U see, one kind of dead was separated from the other in verse 17. The first dead had not gone down to silence yet, but they were dead all the same.
The second verse speaks of those who bless the Lord NOW, and FOREVER. Errmm, but at some point between now and forever we'll die (we're only human), but we never really die u see, the praise just continues ��.

So back to my question... U dead?? Here's what u use to check: how's your praise?

This should be interesting... The Bible says we are saved by GRACE, through FAITH, NOT of WORKS, lest any man should boast (Eph 2:8-9)
How we love to hide behind such verses... But please, lemme ask, "Then what?!"
In the book of Revelation (yes, the one you don't like reading) 3:15-16 Jesus did some temperature analysis for a church, the preamble however was quite interesting: I KNOW YOUR WORKS, that you are neither hot nor cold...
You'll probably have to check and make sure I'm not lying to you. The thermometer to see how on fire you are is your works??? Uhmm, yeah. Your faith MUST produce works, or else it's dead (James 2:14-18).
I doubt you'll read the verses yourself, but just in case I'm right, check your temperature, you might not be so 'Ogyacious' after all

This one is very short. How easily you take anyone at their word depends on how trustworthy they are. We know God is not a man that He should lie, so He is trustworthy... No fault on His part. BUT how do we take Him at His Word when we don't know The Word. Today's as good a day as any other to determine to read the whole Bible cover-to-cover. Stay blessed and may you find exciting promises and discoveries in God's Word today. Take Him at those Words.

Bigger Than What People Say

You  know how the sun looks little from earth till you get close? And when u close one eye you can block the moon from your view with your thumb... But men have walked on that very 'pearl in the sky'. The point is, big things look smaller from far. You've got problems right? Unless of course you've resigned from the human race. Draw closer to God. Just worship and magnify Him. Then compare your issue to God almighty... You feel silly right now for allowing that to bother you, don't You? Our GOD is GREAT, and a whole lot GREATER than you think He is. He's indescribable. Go out there and walk all over that problem like Jesus would with BIG OL' YAHWEH beside you.

Did you know He measures the WHOLE UNIVERSE in the span of His hand?
Isaiah 40: 12  Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

Why We Need The Word - A Revelation

Jesus said a lot of strange things, and a lot of strange things were said about Him in the Bible. Here's the real shocker; THEY'RE ALL TRUE.
The Bible calls Him the Word made flesh (Jn 1). He's also called the Bread of Life, and we're to eat of His body. He said He's our Shepherd and we're His sheep. So we're sheep who eat Bread... Funny.

But watch this; he was born and placed in a manger!! The feeding place of sheep!!! Such a carefully crafted, Divine message.

What a wow!! Dig into that Word today. A feast awaits.

They say the third time's the charm... Charm or no charm, I'm trying again. 😂

The sun. The scientists say it's a huge ball of burning gases... Like a million times the size of our earth. A long time ago, people thought it moved across our sky, now we realize we're the ones moving, while it stays put. All it does is to shine.
Throughout time, one man made the sun 'stop' by a prayer, we actually now know he made the earth stop rotating, which is pretty cool anyway. Joshua in...
Another made the sun 'move backwards' King Hezekiah, so now we know that he reversed the earth's rotation... Awesome!
But there was one Man. When He died, the sun refused to shine for 3 hours... Mourning her Boss. I bet an angel had to be sent to alert her that He would rise again, or else, anka forget... Universal dumsor koraa. So yeah, today's early morning hype... Jesus proved He was the light of the world when His absence put out the sun. If you can top that, I'll worship you. Today's gonna be a good day 😊.

Once upon a cross, one Man carried the full weight of the sin of everyone who's ever lived and ever will live. No, He wasn't a body builder, just a carpenter.

And then suspended between Heaven and earth on that same cross He bridged the gap between them. No lie, no exaggeration. He closed the gap. We couldn't see it, but it was there. Some people never found out what He did for them, but He did it all the same.

So how can I let this sacrifice go waste? Life carried the mother of death, sin, and died to kill death in sin in Him.
Please don't get confused, it all makes sense. For every wrong we've done Someone died for that. So live like Someone died for you.

When I think about Forever, 'unendingness' I see how much You love me. Because if You had left me in my sin, I'd be headed for fires that don't go out... ever. I have a month-old scar from an iron, I really don't want to try hell's fires.

You give me worth.

THE FATHER OF FAITH

Let's work with imagination here...
You are killing a goat...maybe sheep... OK any livestock, but preferably a sheep. The poor thing is bleeding. You pity it but this has to be done. Now imagine you had a son (an only son) it was him in place of that sheep. I bet your imagination just got messed up, or maybe you didn't have the mental strength to continue.

Guess what, it's moments like that in which a father of faith can be produced. Good ol' Father Abraham. He did that to his son in his mind when God asked him to. Isaac was as good as dead, just not physically because God stopped it. Personally, if you ask me (but no one is asking me so...), I thought Abe was a big meanie (don't get angry with me)... But then, God did that for me with His Son and I call it love, grace, not because I want to, but because that is what it is: pure unadulterated LOVE. So reverse roles and Abraham was that close to loving God like God loved him... Like God loves us.

There's a price to pay to be called God's friend. Leave everything you hold dear to Him, your very self even, because guess what, love isn't always pretty. Sometimes it's bloody all over and comes with 3 nails and a cross (and the occasional spear-in-side). But the Lord of love will reward. Bless you.

Judges 6: 13   And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

These words came from a man who within a short time was going to lead just 300 men to defeat an army of allied nations. This is the description of Gideon's enemies:

Judg 7: 12  And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like grasshoppers for multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the sea side for multitude.

Gideon had never seen a miracle. He thought God had forsaken him. Doesn't that sound like the way we feel sometimes? OK, maybe it's just me. But God is still in the business of lifting us from the bottom to place us on top... But like Gideon, he'll use our 300 men to defeat our sand-of-the-seashore problems so we'll redirect all praise to Him. You are not the first person God is about to shock.

Have you ever seen a mother cry? Especially over the foolishness of a son, because she knows it will destroy him... There's no sadder thing.

Oh wait, there is. When the father (hard guy of the house) starts to cry, then you know it's serious. Could break any heart.
But we grieve our Father's Spirit. Too often. Every little sin. This is a message as much for me as it is for you. But He's never given up on us. We call that Grace, and it's amazing. 😌

Eph 4:30  And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
