DRAWING THE LINES 3 - The Lifeline

Who wants to be a millionaire? Rhetorical. It's the name of a British game show where you could win a million pounds. That's like 6.5 million cedis. Maybe you've seen our local equivalent, Who wants to be rich? The money does not compare though.

Lemme introduce you to a new one: Who wants eternal life? Once again the prize does not compare to the other two. This one promises mansions, crowns, and God, the giver of everything good. 'Cos when you have God you have everything. Imagine the owner of Shoprite worked in your chopbox. Would you have ever called home for provisions? When you have God in this world... well you get the picture. Weird analogy, I know.

Back to our game show though. Kafui Dey would give you 3 life lines when you got stuck: an audience vote, call a friend or cut down your options to 50:50. But you see, the question of who wants eternal life is neither a game nor a show, and there's no vote or 50:50. You get one life line. One call.
Romans 10: 13  For whosoever shall CALL upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

We were born stuck. Whether you believe it or not is immaterial. It's the truth. Jesus is our only life line.
